A really nice description of all the cool things we as a neighborhood do.
TGIF HAPPY HOURS
Friday Night Happy Hours! They are typically held on the third Friday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
SUMMER FOOD TRUCKS
Come out and enjoy some delicious grub! Trucks visit one Sunday a month from May to September.
EASTER EGG HUNT
The annual Easter egg hunt takes place on a Saturday close to Easter. The Easter bunny’s helpers hide candy-filled plastic eggs on the playground of Christian Elementary School.
Join your neighbors for a community garage sale day. Sell your old stuff and buy theirs! The sale will be advertised publicly as well.
Each year OHNA residents open their gardens up to the public for a free tour.
HOLLYHOCK LANE PARADE
Dating back to 1934, this is the longest running Fourth of July parade in Michigan.
Every summer, OHNA teams up with City of Grand Rapids for our Neighborhood Cleanup Day.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
National Night Out encourages neighbors to gather and meet with community leaders. Join us for ice cream, lemonade, face painting, and a balloon artist.
On Halloween night from 6-8pm, turn your lights on to welcome ghouls and goblins from near and far.
After several years of successful neighborhood tree re-plantings, we’ve decided to continue with an aggressive approach to achieve a 90% tree canopy by 2040.
